Tracking Links in Blog Postings
After posting items to you blog you may want to track how readers click through links in your articles. This can be done very easily by adding a redirect to your tags. The first information you need is your account id. You account id is displayed in parentheses after the words Main Account Page. If you are logged in you can follow this link to get to your main page. To track a link you simple add the text
"http://www.4syndication.com/forward.do?id=#&url=link" in the
href attribute of the tag. For example, if you had a link
in your blog posting to Google you would normally write your link
like this: To track this link
(I'm going to use account 1 for this example) you would write: That's all there is too it. Whenever a reader follows that link, the URL and time will be recorded in the Link Tracking table on the Account Stats page. Follow ups:
