Taking Our Solution to the Social-Networking Sites

After gaining widespread attention for being the first company to enroll users with a secure biometrics-based solution backed by an in-person registration process (we first signed up users in March 2007), the safeTspace team is now preparing to embark on an educational tour targeting some of the more popular sites, such as MySpace and Facebook. We intend to start a discussion about how they can combat the issue of sexual predators preying on their underage users by utilizing our readily available solution, which includes authentication through a fingerprint reader and our recently developed facial recognition technology.

The laws and regulations are coming into place and the technology is here, so now it's up to the social-networking sites to take action and put today's safeguards to use on behalf of their users. Parents have been calling for such a solution for a while now, and we're ready to help the sites protect their minor-age users. Check back with the safeTblog as we report on more developments as our educational efforts continue.
