PR Exec Says Shift from Faxing News Releases to E-mailing Them is Top Change in 25 Years. Yikes!

In a recent Q and A column in a daily newspaper, the CEO of a local PR firm answered that e-mailing, rather than faxing, "hundreds of news releases" is the biggest change in PR he's seen in the 25 year history of his firm.

If this is indeed the case, then we have serious concerns for his firm celebrating Year 26. However, if he meant to say something else, then please urge him to engage us in a media training session at his earliest convenience.

Nearly every daily and business newspaper has a variety of these regularly appearing features packaged as Qs and As, profiles and other highly readable formats.  It's impossible not to read them, which is a key reason why we work so hard to get ourselves and clients to be a part of them.

Why?  Because they are an ideal way to showcase your point of competitive difference, expertise and unique reason for being - your brand. But only when you have a well-thought-out message strategy and the tools to communicate it clearly, concisely and memorably.
