Partnership with Synergy Software increases functionality of SAMS software

Baltimore, MD - MJM Innovations, a Baltimore, MD-based management and technology firm focused on developing management solutions for transportation, aging and other programs, announced today a partnership with Synergy Software Technologies, a leading provider of web-based human services software solutions. The partnership enables swipe card and touch screen technology to be integrated into the suite of Synergy products.

MJM's Universal Participant Tracking Card (UPTCardTM) technology will give senior centers using Synergy's SAMScan Senior Center and SAMScan SWIPE the ability to manage event calendars and activity tracking under a web-based model. Senior center attendees will now be able to self-register for activities with the easy-to-use interface. This model results in greater efficiency in tracking high-volume services for Synergy's customers, such as senior centers, nutrition providers and transportation service organizations.

UPTCards (SAMScan Swipe Cards) look and feel like traditional debit or credit cards and are used in conjunction with low-cost terminals or touch screens placed in areas where data is collected. Program participants, volunteers and managers simply swipe their personal SAMScan Swipe Cards to begin the process of automatic data collection. They then choose services and activities using a touch screen or point-of-sale (POS) terminal. Both models will eliminate the need for manual tracking of redundant data entry, improve quality of service and reduce costs.

SAMS users will contract directly with MJM to integrate this technology with their SAMS system. MJM will provide setup and service for touch screens and POS devices, as well as integration with the secure web servers that will receive and process the transactional data. Synergy and MJM completed integration of their products in 2006.

"MJM Innovations is proud to join forces with Synergy on this exciting project," said Jeffrey Venick, MJM Innovations President and CEO. "The touch screen technology meets a growing need in the aging network. It will enable our customers to improve the service they provide to seniors and reduce administrative expenses. It is truly the wave of the future for the aging network."

"The Synergy team is excited about the addition of this technology to our suite of products," said Stan Eames, Synergy's President and CEO. "Our customers can now use touch screens and swipe cards to easily capture service unit information at senior centers and meal sites."
