Employing individuals with developmental disabilities at Melwood Garden Center
Damien Price of Temple Hills, Maryland enjoys his work in the greenhouse. "It's hard work. I'm tired at the end of the day. But I still really like having my job."

Damian says he's always liked working with plants, and he has an ambition: "I want to try to be in the landscaping crew. I like to cut grass and rake leaves." Melwood landscapers keep the grounds in perfect shape at sites ranging from scenic roadsides to the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.

At home, Damien enjoys relaxing and watching television. He'll tell you his four favorite shows: "All in the Family, The Jeffersons, I Love Lucy and Good Times!"

Damien is one of the most cheerful members of the staff and always looks forward to tomorrow - and beyond. "I need some gray hair," the 31-year-old says. "I want to become a senior citizen."
