LifeBridge Health's 2006 Magic of Life Gala Marks Largest One-day Fundraiser in Baltimore

LifeBridge Health announces that the 2006 Magic of Life Gala raised more than $1.7 million for pediatric programs and community initiatives. Once again, the Magic of Life Gala is the largest one-day fundraiser held in Baltimore.

“The outpouring of community support for LifeBridge Health over the years is a true testament to the outstanding medical care provided by all employees at each institution,” said J.M. Schapiro, chair of the Magic of Life Gala and president and CEO of Continental Realty Corporation. Joining Schapiro as chair is his wife Mindy, along with Harriet and Jimmy Berg of Len Stoler, Inc, who are serving as event co-chairs.

Grammy-award winning singer-songwriter Kenny Loggins performed at this year’s
Gala held at Baltimore's historic Hippodrome Theatre at the France-Merrick Performing Arts Center on Saturday night. Loggins is best known for blockbuster hits such as House at Pooh Corner, Dangerzone and Footloose.

“The continued success of the Magic of Life Gala allows LifeBridge Health to enhance programs and services to better serve our neighbors, both young and old,” said Warren Green, president and CEO, LifeBridge Health. “We are thankful and honored by the community’s generous support.”
