The Labyrinth Company "World Headquarters" Moves From Baltimore To Greenwich
My wife, Lee Ann has taken on a great new opportunity as Rector of St. Paul's Riverside (one of the villages comprising Greenwich, Connecticut). So we've moved to Connecticut the first of September. I wanted to share this exciting news and provide a few details about the transition from our headquarters in Baltimore.
Since we use lots of subcontractors, freelancers and telecommuters to do the daily work of The Labyrinth Company, this move is very simple, business-wise. Our design center and administrative office will relocate to Riverside CT. And that is basically the only change. We are maintaining all of our key subcontractor relationships, including the company's Baltimore-based portable labyrinth production facilities, Hagerstown, MD paver production, and Philadelphia, Dallas and Wisconsin permanent labyrinth kit production operations. We will miss Baltimore. I built my first Chartres labyrinth there in 1995, and the wonderful community of labyrinth enthusiasts I enjoy so much grew from there to include clients and friends around the world. In 1998 I decided to found The Labyrinth Company to formalize my role in the burgeoning labyrinth field. Back then the business was based in Baltimore while I commuted to a second studio located beneath the chapel at the General Theological Seminary in New York where Lee Ann was studying. By 2004 The Labyrinth Company had perfected its award-winning Paver Labyrinth KitTM system, enabling contractors throughout the world to complete beautiful and precise paver labyrinths efficiently. The same systematic effort has gone into creating our full range of Floor Labyrinth Kits, Garden Labyrinth TemplatesTM and Stencil & Mask products. Now in 2008, we are acknowledged as the "World's Premier Meditation Space Creator." It's been an extraordinary journey thanks to the wonderful community of clients, contractors and vendors who have taken it with us. The move to Riverside CT and our new headquarters is the latest leg of this odyssey. As I mentioned, nothing will change except our mailing address. The phone, email and web URL all stay the same. Thanks for subscribing to our blog and look for my next post from our new "World Headquarters" in Riverside CT. David Tolzmann, Chief Geometer & Labyrinth Builder Questions, concerns or comments?
