GBTC HIRES PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR TO SUPPORT MEMBER INITIATIVES

BALTIMORE, MD – March 24, 2008 – GBTC, an organization that assists in building and connecting the Greater Baltimore technology industry, has hired Alecia Farley as Director of Professional Development.  Ms. Farley brings over 20 years of progressive marketing and sales experience from the financial services industry.  Previously Ms. Farley was Vice President, Marketing and Communications at M&T Bank.  Her core responsibilities at the Council will be to sustain and create initiatives to support member growth and visibility. 

 

Steve Kozak, Executive Director commented “This is an exciting time for the GBTC.  We have a number of new initiatives under way and have just come off of a productive strategic planning session with our board.  While we will continue our ongoing focus on member needs, Alecia’s experience and knowledge will allow us to quickly implement many of these new initiatives while raising our level of support to our membership.  Look for more online activity and face-to-face programs coming from Alecia and our team soon.” 

 

Ms. Farley earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and Finance from the University of Delaware.  She is a board member and chairs the Development Committee for the Franciscan Youth Center.
