Summary:

Reports to the Team Leader of Customer Facing to ensure that the proper attention is focused on maintaining/upgrading new and existing applications systems. Associate participates in all system development life cycle related tasks including the coordination and training of system users.

Duties:

* Under general supervision, analyzes problems in terms of application system and programming requirements.

* Under general supervision, analyzes and specifies computer equipment required for solution.

* Defines system specifications and validation processes.

* Develops all levels of logic flow including preparation of charts, tables, and diagrams.

* Codes and debugs program instructions for new and exiting systems.

* Participates in all levels of testing: unit, system and integration.

* Documents all procedures throughout the system development life cycle.

* Provides supervisor with responsibility schedule and reports on status of assignments.

* Provides after hours system support as required.

Required:

* Capable of translating complex business needs into technical solutions.

* Excellent problem solving and communication skills.

* Ability to create technical design documentation.

* Solid understanding of object oriented design principles.

* One year experience programming in C# .NET and/or Java.

* One year experience working with an SQL RDMS such as Oracle, MSSQL or MySQL.

* Solid understanding of SDLC methodologies.

Preferred:

* Experience administering Oracle or MS SQL databases is preferred.

* Experience developing Web Services is preferred.

* Experience working with Hibernate and Spring Framework is a plus.

* Experience in a regulated environment is preferred.

* Experience developing rich client interfaces using AJAX.

Education:

* B.A. or B.S. degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline and or 2-3 year's software design experience.
