Random Airport Employee Screenings Now Underway
It is a sign of our times that the scope of government airport security screening has continued to expand its boundaries in the name of public safety. Recently, the Transportation Security Administration implemented the Aviation Direct Access Security Program. From now on, all airport employees are now eligible to random inspections by the TSA’s police. At any given moment, the employees can be approached and then searched in areas not typically known as public access areas. I, for one, believe that when it comes to our safety, there can never be too much security.
