The TSA is now involved in a pilot program that will initiate the use of radar machines which will now identify foreign objects and physical outlines of the subject being examined. These x-rays have the ability to define all body parts regardless of clothing. As a result, only men will examine men’s x-rays and women will do the women’s. Regardless, this should stir up some privacy issues and some paranoia by those not wanting this much invasion of privacy. I believe that the TSA, which was born because of the events of 9-11, must protect those who travel on airplanes. To date, this x-ray technology is expected to be one of, if not the best technology developed in support of contributing to the success of helping the TSA accomplish this immense responsibility. Safety is job one for the TSA. I believe that it is crucial that we all accept this type of thinking.
