It’s great that you’re eating better, exercising, and trying to shed excess pounds. However, your health does not begin and end with your weight. Be sure that you’re addressing all aspects of your health and well-being.
- See your dentist twice a year.
- Get an annual physical, including Pap smear (if you’re a woman) and blood pressure check.
- Wear sunscreen when you leave the house in the morning.
- Buckle your seatbelt every time you get in the car.
- Don’t smoke. If you do smoke, talk to your doctor about a smoking cessation program.
- Practice monthly self breast exams or testicular exams.
