Health Tip: Cutting Calories is Anti-Aging

What’s good for the waistline also seems to be good for anti-aging. University of Florida scientists have recently found that eating a little less and exercising regularly can reduce or even reverse aging-related cell and organ damage in rats.

In the rats, an 8 percent reduction in calories did the trick. This would equal a few hundred calories daily for humans, which is easier to stomach than earlier reports of a 20-40% reduction in calories needed to achieve a similar effect.
