A Chief Executive's Guide To Managing Workforce Mobility Now Available

Over the last few months I have had the opportunity to talk to a number of CEOs both inside and outside the relocation services industry. The misunderstandings and confusion I encountered about what exactly is the “best” way to configure, implement, administer and track an organization’s employee relocation activities drove me to commission a white paper on the subject. This paper looks at the relocation services landscape from a CEO’s perspective. It’s titled: A Chief Executive’s Guide To Managing Workforce Mobility In The 21st Century.

The paper clarifies the options available to company leaders as they try to streamline their relocation planning activities. These options include managing relocations internally, using Relocation Management Companies (RMCs), hiring “Move Managers,” or using other specialized providers. It also includes a brief discussion of “Full Outsourcing of Relocation Management Administration” and why many companies choosing this option.

The paper includes a section on “The Seven Dangers Of Outsourcing Relocation Management” along with some interesting findings I came across regarding why companies say they outsource relocation and how much they think poor working relationships with outside firms cost them.

This is an article that readers of this blog will find worth reviewing. As always, I welcome your comments and questions. Simply email me using the “Talk To Our Executive Team” button on this site.
