4Syndication attempts to track the reach of your blog and the items in your blog as it is picked up by RSS aggregators across the Web.
The top table provides a rolling summary of the views over the previous 30 days. If you have more than one blog this summary includes the totals from all blogs unless you have filtered your results (see below). The columns are described below.
Date This is the date range of the statistics being shown. The default is a rolling 30 day summary.
Blog Visits This is the number of times a reader has been to your main blog homepage where the article titles are displayed.
Headline Views This is the number of times that an article title has been displayed in a 4Syndication RSS feed or through the blog homepage. In general, the headline views will be roughly equal to the number of blog visits recorded multiplied by the number of articles active on the front page of your blog.
Content Views This is the number of times that someone has viewed the content of one of your articles. This is divided into three sub-categories.
Blog Traffic A visitor to your blog homepage clicked through to view your article.
RSS Traffic A reader of an RSS feed containing your articles clicked through to read your article.
Hub Traffic A reader on the 4Syndication.com aggregator site clicked through to read your article.
The main table below the summary table breaks out the details on the viewer statistics by blog and by article.
Date Each entry is ordered by a given date.
Blog / Item Here the stats for a given article are displayed. If the entry is starred with an asterisk (*) the row is describing the total for that blog for that date.
The following actions can be performed from the statistics page:
Filter by Article The blog and article titles are linkable. Clicking through one of the links limits the statistics page to the stats for the given item or blog.
Filter by Blog If there is more than one active blog, the statistics can also be filtered to a specific blog by using the drop down menu in the Filters section to the left.
View Count This link displays a chart showing the number of item content views.
View Daily Summary This link displays a chart showing content views for each day over the previous month.
View Weekly Summary This link displays a chart showing weekly content views over the previous three months.
View Monthly Summary This link displays a chart showing content views by month over the previous year.
Download CSV File This brings up a comma-separated values spreadsheet of all the statistics gathered over the previous month.
